Parnia and Zeynab fled Iran with their families for Germany in 2015. Filmed over seven years, the documentary follows the two young women as they put down fragile roots in a new environment and negotiate the tensions between family, society and their own ambitions.

Their story becomes a film about growing up, belonging, adaptation and self-empowerment — and about finding an autonomous place in a country they have made their home.
